About

Whitney Walker is a Advanced Practice Registered Nurse. She earned her Masters Degree in Nursing at the Florida International University. APRNs treat and diagnose illnesses, advise the public on health issues, manage chronic disease, and engage in continuous education to remain ahead of any technological, methodological, or other developments in the field. APRNs hold at least a Master’s degree, in addition to the initial nursing education and licensing required for all Registered Nurses (RNs).

Mrs. Walker has a past diverse clinical experience working with clients across the lifespan in multiple settings such as hospitals, community mental health clinics, intensive outpatient programs, residential treatment facilities, alternative school placements, and treatment homes.

Her approach to patient care is holistic and patient-centered. He understands that patients are more than just a diagnosis or set of symptoms, and that in order to better serve them, he needs to address both medical and psychosocial factors. For that reason, she strongly believes in a collaborative team approach to care. She often works with her client’s therapist or primary care provider to discuss and formulate an individualized treatment plan that best addresses the unique needs of each individual client. Mrs. Walker understands that each case is unique and that not all clients require medication but when it is needed, he makes sure to follow evidence-based guidelines to ensure the treatment is safe and effective.
